The Coast and Harbor at Kennebunkport, ME.

Kennebunkport shoreline and harbor. The whale watching boat only looks about half full but it was windy and pretty cool. We have not done that yet.

Bush compound Kennebunkport, ME.

This is the Bush compound. We had our binoculars and could see Barbara Bush sitting on the wall. It looked like the boat and some people on the dock were trying to upright the little floating dock. That was really something to watch they never succeeded. I was looking through the binoculars at the man in a blue shirt on the right side of the house and he was looking back at us with his binoculars. I started waving to him as I was looking at him but he was not too friendly. The boat helping with the dock sped off and the name on the side was Protector. Jeb Bush is building a house on the compound. It will be the largest house and cost 1.4 million.

Caverns at Shenandoah Valley, VA

When we arrived at the caverns a large group had just finished up their tour. We had to wait about 10 mins. for the next tour. We lucked out and Clare & I were the only ones for the next tour. I'm glad we brought jackets because it was 50 degrees. Some of the Stalactites hanging from the ceiling looked like slices of bacon. The deepest part of the cavern is 200 ft. below the surface. This is definitely something to see if you are ever in the area.

Mt. Jackson, VA

We went out hiking and exploring today and came across this covered bridge, glad we were not in the motorhome. On the way back to the campground we ran across these old abandoned buildings.

Shenandoah Valley Campground in MT. Jackson, VA

This is where we stayed in MT. Jackson VA. The Shenandoah Valley Campground had very nice level sites and as you can see not very busy. The campground is only two years old and family run. Very nice park will come back here. Found an excellent butcher shop D&M Meats. They raise their own beef (grass fed) very good.

Old Salem, NC

Drove car to Old Salem visitor center. Bought tickets to go into old historic area. This allowed us to tour the historic homes that were open to the public. A lot of the old historic homes are private residences. This is like Williamsburg but larger and better guides. Had lunch at an Old Tavern in town. Later in the day the place was over run by school field trips. But it was time for us to leave anyway.

Clemmons, NC ( Winston Salem area)

We are staying at Tanglewood Park and RV Campground. Asphalt parking pad, pretty level lots of high trees for shade. This is a city run facility with two golf course, horse trails, hiking trails. Two fenced dog parks one for small dogs and one for large dogs. You can only stay here 14 days a month. Very nice park and area.

77th Annual Blessing of the Fleet

We started our 2015 trip in Brunswick, Ga. on May 6 with our Good Sam Chapter, Palm Coast Traveling Sam's. Everyone met at Coastal RV. Resort. There were 12 RV's that showed up. We all had a great time eating, drinking and doing some sight seeing while there. The weather was great while we were there. Our hosts did a great job feeding all of us. While we were there a group of us went to the 77th Annual Brunswick Ga. Blessing of the Fleet. Which took place at Sidney Lanier Park in Historic Downtown Brunswick on  Sunday May 10, 2015. There was entertainment along with food and arts & craft vendors in the park. There were 20 boats that joined the procession that passed by the fishing pier to be blessed by a Catholic Bishop that was on board a anchored fishing boat. He blessed each boat that stopped  by briefly.
Below are some of the photographs.
