Lake Guntersville State Park / Lodge

Located along the banks of the Tennessee River in Northwest Alabama, Lake Guntersville Resort State Park on 6,000 acres of natural woodlands. The park has a 18 hole championship golf course, a beach complex, on Alabama's largest lake. They have plenty of overnight options to choose from. They have a well appointed resort lodge on the pinnacle of Taylor Mountain, and chalets on the ridge-tops provide plenty of options.
If you are ever in the area this is a great park to stay at. It has FHU's.

Visited with my cousin

We visited with my cousin Cliff and his wife Vickie. They have a beautiful home on 10 acres in Oakland, TN. and just happened to have room to park the RV with 50 amp. electric also. I haven't seen Cliff or talked to him since the 60's so it was nice getting together and talk about what was going on in our lives.

Tucked in next to the garage.

Seven Points COE Campground 2nd site

Yesterday afternoon  we had to change sites because of low voltage at our site. I had 124 volts on one leg and 104 on the other. Maintenance  man was no help.  We were suppose to be here until Friday. They are full so today we are looking for another campground. That's a shame because this is a nice place.

We arrived at Seven Points COE Campground yesterday afternoon. Check in time was 3 p.m. so we didn't do much. So far this looks like a nice campground.

Today we leave Crossville and head over just outside of Nashville, TN. We will be staying at Seven Points Campground which is a COE campground on J. Percy Priest Lake.

Crossville, TN.

We've been in Crossville since July 7. We checked out the old downtown area and can not say much about that. Today we went to Cumberland Mountain State Park to check it out. The park is a 1,548-acre park situated on the sandstone tableland of the Cumberland Plateau. The park opened in 1940 and was built by the CCC.

Waynesville, NC, countryside

Today we took a little drive around the countryside and took these photos. This is so much different then what we are use to.

Creekwood Farm Rv Park Fourth of July cookout

The weather is still great, cool in the evenings and warm during the day. On Friday the park started to get full for the holiday weekend. Yesterday the park hosted a cookout and live entertainment for free for everyone. We all had a great time with plenty of food to eat. We have only three more days here and then onto TN. It looks like it will be a lot hotter in TN.

Park is almost full.

Cookout, not everyone is here yet.

All the kids had fun with the bubble machine on.
