Now this was scary. I had to go out on this ledge it was blowing about 20 mph and gusty. I got a friend to take this shot. Clare was back at the lodge.
Inside the lodge
This was a great day. The North Rim is a lot different then the South rim. The drive to the North Rim is through a forest of trees and valleys opposed to the South rim approach of flat land and desert. It took us about 1 1/4 hr drive from our camp site to get there. Our group walked two different trails. It was quite challenging. I was surprised how few people were there. The trails were a little crowded because of their narrow paths. It was quite a walk. We are having a great time.
